What are precepts?

The following blog is about precepts and what they are. We have recently been reading the book Wonder in class, and how Mr Browne loved precepts. In between page 45 and 48 we learned about precepts.

 What is a precept?
A precept is a rule or moto.

My favorite precept is:
My favorite precept is : you can't have a rainbow without a little bit  of rain. ( not in the book wonder) this precept really touches me because it has so much meaning and it is relatable in every day life.

What is the meaning of this precept?
The meaning of this precept is that bad experiences help you appreciate the good experiences.
